Thinking how blessed I am to have two kitties to care for. They love to be on either side of me all day as I work at my writing. I take joy in the little distraction they are throughout the day when I need a writing break. Much to meditate on here. Now things are different and our dogs are pretty much full time "house dogs." Our puppy will turn 1 year old this month and she knows the laundry room is "Her Room." Old Luke is happy just to be close by us and near our feet. They do not sleep with us, but probably would if given the opportunity. I take them outside every couple hours, and ask the Lord to wake me around 2 or 3 in the night to take them out. I enjoyed your visit with Marty and he is a sweet dog. Yes, I agree there may be our pets in heaven because we know the lion and the lamb will be there.
