It was in the days before seat belts and restraining seats for kids. Hubby decided it was time to discipline them which meant a spanking. I know. That isn't done much today, but this was 50 years ago. So, he yelled back into the back seat as he was pulling off the road. "OK. Who wants to be first." Our son, the youngest, was pretty nieve. He said "I do. I do." He learned not to volunteer to be first.
Blessings,
CharlotteCharlottehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12533075034458645148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168946904182381428.post-18921319807226240902012-05-12T21:34:20.400-07:002012-05-12T21:34:20.400-07:00Another wonderful post.Another wonderful post.Denisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09275456448997619944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168946904182381428.post-80885326335378660602012-05-12T14:55:29.256-07:002012-05-12T14:55:29.256-07:00Ooh, this one probably gets us all. It was an "ouch" moment indeed. I realized I have been guilty of wanting to be the greatest and envious if I perceived someone was greater than me. Good reminder from God to make sure to watch my motives and my heart.

have a good day!

bettybettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06323135450742337670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3168946904182381428.post-20405598407035240332012-05-12T04:45:58.104-07:002012-05-12T04:45:58.104-07:00What, ME? Oh never...

It's so hard to be flesh and blood, especially the flesh part.

I will say that I have experienced some growth in that area over the past few years. More often than before, I'm just too fifty for that. I want to compare the old Debbie to the newer one instead since that's a more optimistic approach.Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05671482394424988047noreply@blogger.com
