and pray for Lucy. She was in a coma for 5 days, and her parents were making funeral arrangements. With prayers from thousands, she is going from strength to strength... God's strength! It is a miracle by the hands of God!!!
I think a miracle is anything done by the hand of God to be a sign of His supernatural nature. When it can't be explained apart from Him, it's a miracle. When you are open to see them, they are as omnipresent as he is. He can't help himself; miracles are His specialty.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite miracle of Jesus? That's tough because I love reading His works in a big way. Every story just gets my heart pumping.
I love the way he healed the woman who touched his hem. I love the way it says that he felt power go out of him. The legion of demons thrown into the pigs is very cool too. And Lazarus... raising Lazarus when he was so dead that he stinketh is awesome.
See what I mean? Impossible to pick.
But honestly and very sincerely, my favorite miracle is the one where he took a blonde in Georgia who was so dead she stinketh and raised her to not only eternal but abundant life. That one took a lot of power. If you had known her BC, you would be giving him a standing O.
I think a miracle is anything that happened that would not have happened "anyway". When we pray and God answers that prayer, to me that is a miracle. There have been many miracles in my life. I have no doubt about that.

I have observed miracles and they mostly revolve around Andy. We had one of Tuesday about his new school! How are you? When do you move? And will you be able to stay in touch? sandie

ReplyDeleteWe had a 900.00 miracle this week. I'm humbled and ever so thankful.
ReplyDeleteI've seen so many miracles...big and small.. And He gave me a huge miracle that completely turned my life around. I need another one right now.....and I have no doubt He's got it covered. My fave miracle re: Jesus....that He rose from the dead and now offers all of us real life. Stay strong out there Sharon..wishing you an amazing weekend.

ReplyDeleteI would define a miracle as something supernatural - an act of God. It is something that could not be done without His intervention. It is out of the ordinary - extraordinary. It is unexpected - and it always something really, really GOOD!
Have you ever witnessed a miracle?
Two things that I consider a miracle.
The first thing is two things - the birth of my sons.
The second thing is my niece. When she was born, she was given less than a 5% chance to live. However, God performed a miracle in her small body - and she just celebrated her 27th birthday last year!
What is your favorite miracle of Jesus?
Of course, the Resurrection! But I have always liked when Jesus raised Jairus' daughter from the dead. This is the verse I like (Mark 5:14):
"Holding her hand, he said to her, "Talitha koum," which means "Little girl, get up!"
I like this because sometimes I feel like a little girl who is so weary I can barely stand up. And yet, today He still holds my hand and says to me, "In My power, get up!"
The other day in my devotions, C. S. Lewis had this to say about miracles:
"It is therefore inaccurate to define a miracle as something that breaks the laws of Nature. It doesn't...The divine art of miracle is not an art suspending the pattern to which events conform but of feeding new events into that pattern.
Each miracle writes for us in small letters something that God has already written, or will write...across the whole canvas of Nature."
No wonder I love Lewis!
