COME LORD JESUS!

The Lord you are seeking will suddenly come.
But who will be able to endure it when He comes?
Who will be able to stand and face Him when He appears?

For He will be like a blazing fire.

The LORD says:

"At that time I will put you on trial.
But, on the day when I act in judgment,
you will be My own special treasure.
I will spare you.

Then you will see the difference between those who serve Me
and those who do not.

The day of judgment is coming.

But for you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness
will rise with healing in His wings.
No longer will there be a curse on anything.
For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there.

Look, I am coming soon.
And I am bringing My reward with Me
to repay people according to their deeds.

You will worship Me.
You will see My face.
And you will go free..."

The LORD God will shine on them.
They will reign forever and ever.

Praise the LORD!
Praise Him for His mighty works!
Praise Him for His unequaled greatness!

"I am the Alpha and the Omega - the First and the Last - the Beginning and the End.

I am the bright morning star!"

Amen!
Come, Lord Jesus!

  1. Hi Sharon:

I'm currently going through Beth Moore's study on Revelation. I'm so thankful to know the Alpha and the Omega...who was and is and is to come! And every kneee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord.

That makes me want to shout for joy!

    Blessings,
    Joan

  2. Love how you put these verses together.
We are looking forward to that day of
His coming when every knee will have
to bow and every tongue will have to
confess His Lordship. Come, Lord Jesus,
come!! All glory and honor and praise
to His glorious name that is above
    all other names!!

  3. I love that you included the very last words in the Word. They are possibly my favorites (possibly... I have so many.)

For some odd reason, I picture the beloved disciple as a very old man looking up toward heaven and saying the words aloud after he writes them on the scroll. I'm just visual like that.

I have enjoyed my catch up session in Sharon Land this morning. You had some wonderful treats this week. It's tough to be unplugged.

I can do without the TV.
I can do without most of cyberland.
    But blogland? That one's difficult.

One further comment on your "Forever" post. (That was wonderful, btw) You forgot to list my favorite time dragging moment. It's when you are stuck at a piano recital listening to four thousand fingers mutilate "Autumn Leaves" as you wait for the one kid you came to hear.

    Just sayin'...

  6. Hi Sharon:

I hopped over from another blog, I've seen your comments on quite a few of my favorites. This was a wonderful visit! You have so much 'good stuff' to share. I scrolled down and enjoyed every one of them.

Thanks for the good visit... I'll definitely be back!

  8. Blessings Sharon,

I was sure I knew these words in red! :0)

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
    Praise the LORD.

So Sharon, are you being a messenger like Malachi or just sharing your wisdom for your daily readings?

Surely the day is not coming but may be at hand:
"He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.”

I'm so thankful that I know the Alpha and Omega but I fear for many who have not yet decided.

As always good "God" food for thought and wonderful composition of God's Word to us.

I have to say this with no judgement, but all of the above comments must not have loved ones that don't know the Lord! Praise God that all their families are saved and following Jesus but as for me, I am unable to say "Come" though I might like it now, I cry out for God's mercy and that He make Himself known to them before He comes.
Sorry, I just gotta keep it real!

I will be happy when we all see Jesus but there are many more ALL in my field of all nowadays. Though the gospel has advanced, there is much work to be done in and outside of our churches.

I pray that we are able to endure and stand to face Him! As I stand before Our Lord, I adore His Presence though have yet to look upon His face. The profoundness of His glory is overwhelming and so aMazing; His grace so much more!

Thank You Lord for your daughter Sharon and how she shares Your Word and Blessedly Leans on God here and in her life submitted to You! Praising You with all the instruments cannot compare to the PRAISE the angels give though I will sing and shout for You are the Bright Morning Star!

    Peace, love and JOY Sharon,
    Peggy

  9. He has made us to worship Him, to know Him, and to be set free--heavenly!

Thanks for visiting. I'm glad you enjoyed the story of Chip. Liked your insight on the Lord's breathe being only a prayer away.

    Blessings,
    Janis

  10. Joan - Every time we sing that song in church - who was, and is, and is to come - I get little goosebumps all over. What a shout of glorious praise that is going to be!!

    Janette - Well said!

Sandy - Sometimes I try to picture that day. There is a huge crowd of people waiting, and then Jesus walks in and sits on His throne - and a hush comes over everyone. As one, they all kneel down...King of kings, how I adore Him!

Debbie - Oh, I LOVED your visual! Dear John, a faithful old man, lifting his eyes (that are dimming with age, but never clearer spiritually) to Heaven! How sweet.
(Sidenotes: MISSED you in Sharon Land. Never been to a recital. But your description was hysterical!)

Sandie - You're welcome!! I'm so glad you liked this (I did, too - nothing better than letting God's Word speak for itself!)

Kerrie - Can you even IMAGINE being the special treasure of the God of the Universe??? A jewel - for He is the one who sees me as a "diamond in the rough."

Sonja - WELCOME! I'm so glad that you're joining me on my journey! Come back anytime - I'm so happy to meet another sister in the Lord - another friend in Blog Land!! Praise God!

Jackie - Seeing Jesus face to face! Oh my! It makes me almost cry thinking about the joy!

Peggy - Thank you for your good comments, my friend. You have said many important things. The one thing I'd like to say is this - you are so wise to point out that we have much WORK to do before Jesus comes again. There are SO many people that have yet to hear His Good News! It's up to us, who know that time is short, to be about the Lord's work - and to get His message out to the lost. (I elaborated on my thoughts in an email to you). God bless you in your evangelizing, Peggy - you're doing a wonderful thing!

Janis - The idea of being "set free" (especially from fear and sadness) is almost too glorious to comprehend. I LOVED your story about Chip. He is so beautiful, Janis - inside and out. Kinda like his owner!

    GOD BLESS!

"So [I] have been greatly encouraged in the midst of [my] troubles and suffering, dear brothers and sisters, because you have remained strong in your faith. It gives [me] new life to know that you are standing firm in the Lord. How [I] thank God for you!" (1 Thessalonians 3:7-9)

Thanks for your comments - it is such a joy to be sharing my journey with friends like YOU!
