GOD SPEAKS A WORD OF COMFORT

Hi, Sharon.

I see you're a little down tonight.

Got a minute?

I've got some things to say to you.

Forget all this gloom.
Only in returning to Me and resting in Me will you be saved.

In quietness and confidence is your strength.

I must wait for you to come to Me so I can show you My love and compassion.
So, come...

I am a faithful God.
Blessed are those who wait for My help.

You will weep no more.
I will be gracious if you ask for help.
I will surely respond to your cries.

I know that I have given you adversity for food and suffering for drink...
But I will still be with you to teach you.

You will see Me, your teacher, with your own eyes!

Your own ears will hear Me.

Right behind you a Voice will say, "This is the way you should go."
I will guide you, whether to the right or to the left.

I will bless you with rain at planting time.
There will be wonderful harvests.

I will begin to heal you and cure the wounds I gave you.

You will be filled with joy.
And I will make my majestic Voice heard.
I will display the strength of My mighty arm.

Your enemies will be shattered at My command.
And you will celebrate...

Feel better?!

  2. Hi Sharon -

Glad to know that you have risen from the grave of sadness. Yahoo for Sharon's resurrection!

Thank you so much for these rich comforting words. I so receive what you have expressed here as shared with you by our Lord.

You wrote, "I will bless you with rain at planting time. There will be wonderful harvests."

    Praise GOD that He knew...

    2 Corinthians 1:4 - KJV
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them whch are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of GOD.

  4. Hi Sharon,

I loved this - "You will weep no more. I will be gracious if you ask for help. I will surely respond to your cries."

In my frustration this morning I found myself weeping. And boy did I cry out! God is love.

But, how many times do I find myself in that 'moment of frustration' not crying out to God for help.

Ahh, yep - I do feel better now. Praise Jesus!

God bless you Sharon. With love and care from Kerrie. xOX

This is just beautiful, Sharon. These verses that I repeated are particularly so. You know, I don't read from Isaiah enough. God has so much to say through Isaiah, and today he repeated it through you.

I hope today was not a sad day.

  7. Hi Sharon,

As I read what you have written and the comments from others, I can't help but reflect we are all walking the same path. Praise Jesus, he walks with us and carries us, when we are unable to walk. I feel a bit sad tonight, over events of the last couple of days. At the moment, I feel tired, rather than tearful, but I know The Lord is at my side, ready with the shoulder and tissues should I need them. Oh I am tired and I am waffling a bit, so will just say, we are all on this journey together and I rejoice that your spirits have lifted today.

    God Bless, Nita x

  8. Well I hope this comment goes thru I have been having so many problems and finally cleared all my saved cookies for google. So many sites I haven't been able to comment on. What wonderful words of encouragement here. I know how the weather can get so many of us down. It surely has been for me. I know the sun doesn't always shine, but there is always a light shining in my heart. Hugs and have a wonderful weekend.

  13. Oh, my - I have the most supportive bloggy buddies!

Thanks so much for stopping by - and for your heartfelt comments. Yes, I'm doing better (it helps that I've seen the sun shine when I get up in the morning!) These verses were just the best - they would be so wonderful at any time, but to come *randomly* just when I needed them, well, they were perfectly comforting.

God is a wonderfully kind Father - and He is close on sad days. I will continually praise His name, even if my voice must be lifted above the gloomy clouds that sometimes linger.

    He is GOOD!

    GOD BLESS!

"So [I] have been greatly encouraged in the midst of [my] troubles and suffering, dear brothers and sisters, because you have remained strong in your faith. It gives [me] new life to know that you are standing firm in the Lord. How [I] thank God for you!" (1 Thessalonians 3:7-9)

Thanks for your comments - it is such a joy to be sharing my journey with friends like YOU!
