DEAR CHILD...

Dear Child,

Something told Me that you needed to hear from Me today!

Remember this always – I have been Home to all My children through all the generations!

From beginning to end, I am your God!

And because you have trusted Me, I will give you LIFE as a reward!

I will rescue you and keep you safe – even from “The Enemy.”

Let Me teach you. Your life is short – this is true. But I will make you grow in wisdom. I will work in your life. I will show My Glory – even to your children.

I have sent you out to tell others about the Life I have promised through faith in My Son, Jesus Christ. So, fan the flame of the spiritual gift I have given you. I have not made you timid or fearful. NO! I have given you power and love and self-discipline.

So never be ashamed to tell others about Me. I will show you My approval, and I will make your efforts successful. With My Strength, be ready to suffer for the Good News.

But, do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disaster that strikes at midday. I will rescue you from every trap of “The Enemy.” If you make Me your Refuge, your Shelter, NO EVIL will conquer you!

I will order My angels to protect you! They will hold you up with their hands.

I have broken the power of death and illuminated the way to LIFE! You will find rest in My Shadow. I will cover you with My feathers. I will shelter you with My wings.

MY FAITHFUL PROMISES ARE YOUR ARMOR AND PROTECTION!

I will rescue you, because you love Me. I will protect you, because you trust in Me. When you call on Me, I will answer. I will be with you in times of trouble. I will honor and reward you…and I will give you My Salvation.

Love,
Your Heavenly Father

I know the One in whom I trust, and I am sure that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until the day of His returnThrough the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within me, I will carefully guard the precious truth that has been entrusted to me.”

  2. I love how you take the Word and write it in the form of a love letter here on your blog...a love letter straight from the heart of God...which is what His Word is. :)

His truths are exactly what my heart needs! Thank you, friend!

  3. Hi Sharon -

WoW! To me, since I started reading Your posts, this is my absolute favorite. I have enjoyed and benefited from all of your posts but this one is, for me, the motherlode! It affects so much of where I am now in our Lord. Others likely feel the same! Holy Ghost dynamite is what this is...

This a.m. I posted a second posting on my blog about "TRAITORS IN THE MIDST." Some of the language may be deemed strong...and I considered not continuing with a third and final posting about it. But the Lord told me to do one more. Still I was hestitant, and then I got a comment from blogger buddy Timothy who knew nothing about the dialogue with me and the Lord. Timothy was commenting about the first "TRAITORS IN THE MIDST.." posting. The first words of his comments were "One more." That was confirmation from the Lord that He desires that I do one more posting on that subject matter. Then I come here and read your post and much of it lines up with what I felt about those subject postings.

Ref: Your comment yesterday on the first "TRAITOR" posting:

I responded, on my blog, to your comment relative to how you responded directly to Jason. Thank you so much, Sharon, that you addressed Jason directly. That gesture was so meaningful. Your show of love is deeply appreciated!

Note: I was NOT sure if you would read my response to you on my blog because I know that some bloggers do not go back, after they comment, to read responses...

    Comment/question:

I sensed from this posting, Sharon, that you have a prophetic anointing? Is that one of your ministry gifts provided by our Lord?

  4. Praise Jesus for being everything that we need in the course of a daily life. Keep reminding us, Sharon, of His love, protection and anointing.

    Lots of hugs,
    Mary

  5. I think you did a BEAUTIFUL job on this. You chose from some of my very favorite passages, and the way you put this together is just plain inspired.

    This is my "particular part".

"But, do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disaster that strikes at midday. I will rescue you from every trap of “The Enemy.” If you make Me your Refuge, your Shelter, NO EVIL will conquer you!"

I'm so glad that I found you and your blog and get to enjoy His gift to you. Really...

  9. Amanda - Glad that God spoke to you today!

Kimberly - I'm glad that sharing the Word gave you encouragement today. Lately, instead of reading my Bible, I've been "listening" to it - because it really is a love letter from God!

Sandra - KABOOM!! God's Word is indeed so powerful! I read/commented on your post today. I think it was a brave word, and necessary. As for Jason, I hope that he finds other people who love him in the Lord wholeheartedly. Answer to your first question: Yes, I do go back and check blogs where I've left comments, just to see if there's a response. And your second question: I don't know. I just ask the Lord to help my words be true, encouraging, and relevant. The rest, I'm trying to leave up to Him!

Mary - Thank you! Isn't Jesus the most wonderful provider? His daily bread is so fulfilling! I will keep posting the reminders - because, after all, I'm really reminding myself!

Debbie - You are too sweet, and I appreciate your thoughtful comment. Your "particular part" is mine also. For someone who lives in dread of the "what if's" in life - the terrors of the night that visit when I have insomnia, the arrow that flies in the day with unexpected news or troubles, the disaster that strikes at midday with a phone call or a letter - these verses are of unspeakable comfort. And I am grateful to have found you, too. Really...

Betty - Thank you for your kind comment ("gifted"? - you make me blush!) Once I started "listening" to the Bible instead of just reading it, I began to realize how much of it sounded like a letter from God to me. I'm pleased to share it - even more pleased that He speaks to others through me!

Karen - I'm so pleased to have you back in blogland. I really was concerned about your absence. I am happy that God spoke to you - let His Words soothe and comfort you, my friend. Let Him just wrap His arms around you - rest in His shadow, let His feathers cover you, and find shelter in His wings.

Alisa - Oh, I'm so glad. I love when God's Word speaks to someone JUST when they need it! It's my pleasure to share His Word - glad it was encouraging.

    GOD BLESS!

"So [I] have been greatly encouraged in the midst of [my] troubles and suffering, dear brothers and sisters, because you have remained strong in your faith. It gives [me] new life to know that you are standing firm in the Lord. How [I] thank God for you!" (1 Thessalonians 3:7-9)
